# TENCENT Reportedly Teams Up With HongShan, ZhenFund to Buy Back Manus Stake from Meta, Becoming Largest Shareholder

AI startup Manus announced that it will resume operations as an independent company.

TENCENT (00700.HK) -11.000 (-2.494%) Short selling $3.27B; Ratio 11.070% will team up with HongShan and ZhenFund to repurchase Manus shares from Meta Platforms, Inc. (META.US) , according to Nikkei Asia, citing sources. The total consideration is expected to be broadly similar to the price paid by Meta, at around USD2 billion.

Separately, Caixin reported that TENCENT acquired the Manus stake held by US venture capital firm Benchmark, replacing it as the largest shareholder of Manus.
