# There have been instances of Mastercard payment rejections in Australia

The Commonwealth Bank of Australia stated that due to a global outage of Mastercard, Australian users are experiencing transaction rejections with their Mastercard payments.

The service outage reporting website Downdetector received over 1,700 reports regarding Mastercard issues on Saturday afternoon at 3 PM.

The most reported issues on Downdetector were concentrated on fund transfers and mobile banking services.

The Commonwealth Bank stated on its official website: "If customers encounter transaction rejections, please insert your bank card, select the savings account, and complete the payment through the Australian electronic payment system eftpos."

"All other services of the Commonwealth Bank, including ATMs, are operating normally."
