# Laopu Gold climbs 4% in Hong Kong as gold stocks rally

Laopu Gold (6181.HK) climbed **3.78%** in Monday's session in Hong Kong to **HK$346.20**. The stock spiked in a rapid five-minute rally in early trading, with intraday volatility widening sharply and the price reaching a session high of **HK$350**.

The gains came as Hong Kong-listed gold stocks rallied broadly, with several names in the sector up more than 3%. The Hang Seng Index opened **186 points** higher, reflecting a firmer tone across the market.
