# Singapore's OUE strengthens China presence with Shenzhen flagship

**Has more than 230 beds across 42,000 square metres.**

OUE Healthcare has opened its flagship Shenzhen China Merchants-Lippo Prince Bay Hospital in Shenzhen’s Shekou area, strengthening its healthcare presence in China’s Greater Bay Area.

The hospital, which opened on 24 July, spans about 42,000 square metres and has more than 230 beds. It is operated by OUE Healthcare’s joint venture, China Merchants Lippo Hospital Management (Shenzhen).

The premium international hospital provides care based on the 4P principles of predictive, preventive, personalised and participatory healthcare. It offers multilingual specialists and service staff to support local and international patients.

The hospital is anchored by three specialist centres — the International Medical Centre, Minimally Invasive Surgery Centre and Health Management Centre — alongside six key clinical specialties covering pain management, rehabilitation, gynaecology, traditional Chinese medicine, gastroenterology, and respiratory medicine.

The hospital also provides direct billing through China’s national medical insurance system, or Yibao, as well as major commercial insurers and third-party administrators in China and Hong Kong, including U CARE, Bupa Group and Cigna & CMB Life Insurance Company.

“Prince Bay Hospital represents an important milestone in OUE Healthcare’s journey," Lee Yi Shyan, chairman of OUEH, said. "We seek to build a regional healthcare ecosystem anchored on Singapore’s medical excellence and best practices."

“A key competence of Prince Bay Hospital is its ability to offer cutting-edge minimally invasive procedures performed by renowned specialists, which can translate into shorter recovery times, better clinical outcomes, and improved patient experiences, with the aim of providing patients with appropriate treatment options at different stages of their health journeys," added Yet Kum Meng, chief executive officer and executive director of OUEH.

OUE Healthcare said it plans to expand partnerships with healthcare institutions and academic organisations to advance healthcare innovation and care delivery.
