# SIT, IBM to launch Punggol quantum-safe centre by end-2026

**Firms can test security tools in a live environment.**

The Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) and IBM plan to establish a quantum-safe centre by the end of the year to help organisations assess cybersecurity risks and prepare for post-quantum threats.

The centre, which will be located at SIT’s Punggol Campus, will identify vulnerabilities in existing cybersecurity systems and map out steps to adopt quantum-safe solutions.

Companies will also be able to test quantum-safe technologies in the Punggol Digital District’s live testbed environment using IBM tools, such as the Guardium Cryptography Manager and Quantum Safe Explorer.

The facility is expected to serve enterprises, technology practitioners, researchers, and government stakeholders.

SIT and IBM will introduce two Continuing Education and Training programmes through the centre later in the year.

A one-day Executive Programme will target business leaders, board members, chief information security officers, and senior technology decision-makers.

Meanwhile, a three-day Foundation Programme will cater to cybersecurity practitioners, software developers, engineers and IT professionals.

Both will cover post-quantum cryptography, enterprise migration planning, cryptographic risk discovery, governance, and security architecture modernisation.
