# The 2026 Market Grab-Bag: Cash Cows, Crypto Pivots, and Corporate Delusions

This is a market where everyone is pretending to be something they are not, and here's why. We have oil giants printing money, struggling apparel brands pretending a turnaround is imminent, and micro-caps pivoting to crypto because, of course, they are. Welcome to the grab-bag of 2026.

Let's start with the actual money makers. **Cboe Global Markets (CBOE.US)** is sitting on a record Q2 net income of USD 731.6M, up 25%. They are hiking dividends and riding the options trading wave. Meanwhile, **Petróleo Brasileiro (PBR.US)** nearly doubled its Q2 net profit to over USD 10B and just found more oil in the Amazon basin. It is messy, it is controversial, but it works.

Then we have the corporate delusions. **Under Armour (UAA.US)** is a disaster class in brand management. With the stock down about 77% over the last five years and Q1 FY27 revenue slipping another 3% to USD 1.1B, management claims they are "simplifying" their products. That is corporate speak for having no clue what consumers want. Why aren't you moving faster? Good luck with that.

The quiet workers are at least doing their jobs. **Novanta (NOVT.US)** just dropped USD 1.2B to acquire Riverpoint Medical, pushing Q2 revenue up 10.3% to USD 265.8M. **Pool Corporation (POOL.US)** beat Q2 EPS estimates with USD 1.82B in revenue. Even **BK Technologies (BKTI.US)** is chugging along, posting USD 23.4M in Q2 revenue with solid margins. They aren't Silicon Valley darlings, but they sell real things to real people.

And then there is the crypto circus. **SRX Global (SRXH.US)** is pivoting to a "digital asset treasury" model and buying EMJ Crypto, while **Bitcoin Infrastructure Acquisition (BIXI.US)** remains a SPAC desperately searching for a target. This is stupid. Adding blockchain to your corporate strategy in 2026 is like adding "AI" to a toaster—it doesn't make the toast any better.

Throw in ETFs like the leveraged **RDWU (RDWU.US)** and the South Korea-tracking **FLKR (FLKR.US)**, and you have a perfect snapshot of today's market: a mix of solid execution, desperate pivots, and financial engineering.

Stop buying into the hype and look at the cash flows. The truth is always in the balance sheet.
