# SoFi Stock Forecast: Why One Analyst Says Shares Could Jump 70%

The most bullish analyst on SoFi (SOFI) stock is Peter Christiansen from Citi, who set a price target of $30, implying about 70% upside potential from the current level. He said the company's latest quarter showed a clear shift toward stronger, more stable growth. SoFi's Q2 results beat estimates across revenue, EBITDA, and credit quality on July 29.

The analyst noted that member growth and product adoption jumped, with cross-buy hitting 51% and products per member rising to an all‑time high of 1.54. Credit trends also improved across all loan types. While SoFi's return on tangible equity is still far from its long‑term 20-30% goal, the analyst said the direction is positive as net income margins expand from 12% to 17% this year.

In his view, SoFi has entered a "durable operating leverage cycle," where record originations, stronger margins, and better credit quality are all moving up at the same time.

## **Stronger Outlook as Growth and Margins Improve**

The analyst also raised forward estimates after the company posted $1.2 billion in adjusted revenue for the quarter, up 40% year over year. Originations hit a record $14.8 billion, and delinquencies and charge-offs improved. Looking ahead, the analyst lifted 2027 revenue by about 10%, expecting stronger NIM than previously modeled.

The $30 price target is based on a 30-35× GAAP P/E multiple, aided by SoFi's expected 35% three‑year EBITDA growth. He believes new products, including loan platform sales, crypto, money transfer tools, Cash Coach, and private‑company fund access, will add more operating leverage over time.

## **Is SoFi Stock a Good Buy?**

According to TipRanks' consensus, SOFI stock has a Hold consensus rating. The company's long‑term strength is evident in fast member growth, rising product use, higher fee and platform revenue, and a stronger balance sheet. However, analysts believe these positives are offset by weak cash flow, tough lending competition, and recent limits on platform monetization.

Overall, the consensus rating is based on six Buys, six Holds, and three Sells assigned in the last three months. At $20.23, the average SOFI stock price target implies a 14.56% upside potential.
