# Silvercorp Reports Strong Initial Main Zone Drill Results at Kyzyltash Gold Project in Kyrgyzstan

An announcement from Silvercorp Metals ( (TSE:SVM) ) is now available.

On August 18, 2026, Silvercorp reported the first batch of assay results from its 50,000–60,000 metre drilling program at the Kyzyltash Sulfide Gold Project’s Main Zone in Kyrgyzstan. The program aims to convert inferred resources to measured and indicated and expand the resource base, with 29 diamond drill holes testing a 3,640-metre strike length and ten rigs now focused mainly on in-fill drilling.

Key intercepts included a standout hole DH26M687, which delivered a combined 212.5-metre interval grading 1.68 g/t gold and extended mineralization into two newly identified parallel structures. Additional holes across the Main Zone returned multiple high-grade intervals and long mineralized zones, reinforcing the scale and continuity of this mesozonal orogenic gold system and supporting Silvercorp’s strategic push to grow its Kyrgyz gold portfolio.
