# Biren Technology surges 8% as H1 revenue guided up over 18x

Biren Technology (6082.HK) **surged 8%** during regular trading to HK$**37.96**.

The rally follows the chipmaker's first-half 2026 earnings preview, which guided revenue of **RMB 1.15–1.3 billion** — a roughly **19-fold to 21-fold** year-on-year jump — driven by surging AI compute demand and accelerating GPGPU commercialization. Shareholder-attributable losses are expected to narrow by **75%–80%** to **RMB 320–400 million**, reflecting scale benefits and margin improvement.

Morgan Stanley added approximately **769,500 shares** at around HK$**38.87** on Aug. 13, bringing its stake to **5.04%**. Separately, CICC Research flagged Biren as a likely candidate for inclusion in an expanded Hang Seng Tech Index, which may grow to 50 constituents.

The board will convene on Aug. 28 to approve interim results and consider a dividend, keeping the market focused on the formal earnings release.
