# Dongyue climbs 8% on strong first-half profit growth

Dongyue Group (189.HK) climbed **8%** in Hong Kong trading to HK$**13.30**, touching an intraday high of HK$**13.37** with **HK$307 million** in turnover.

The rally followed the company's first-half results released late Thursday. Net profit rose **32%** to RMB **1.03 billion**, while revenue gained **8%** to RMB **8.06 billion**. Gross margin widened by roughly **8 percentage points** to **37.2%**, supported by a cyclical recovery in fluorochemicals and cost efficiencies.

Profit from the refrigerant segment jumped **21%**, and the organosilicon business doubled its earnings. Dongyue also completed a new-energy facility adding **49,000 tonnes** of annual R32 capacity. The company declared no interim dividend.

A broader rally in Hong Kong-listed chemical and materials names provided additional tailwind for the stock.
