# Sino Biopharmaceutical surges 8% on 27% jump in adjusted H1 profit

Sino Biopharmaceutical Ltd. (1530.HK) surged 8% in Hong Kong trading to HK$17.88, with the shares reaching an intraday high of **HK$18.65** on turnover of roughly **HK$1.14 billion**.

The rally followed the company's first-half 2026 results. Revenue rose 3.9% on the year to **RMB 4.53 billion**, while adjusted net profit attributable to shareholders jumped 26.5% to **RMB 1.44 billion**, signaling a clear improvement in core-business profitability. Overseas product sales climbed 43% as the company's flagship therapies won approvals in 23 countries.

Sino Biopharm also deepened its GLP-1 presence after striking a licensing and manufacturing-supply agreement with Hybio Pharmaceutical for a semaglutide injection targeting glycemic control. Bank of America Securities recently initiated the stock with a buy rating and a HK$23 price target, citing the potential of core asset SSGJ-707 — exclusively licensed to Pfizer outside China — whose risk-adjusted peak global sales it estimates at up to **$5.6 billion**.
