Unresolved tensions between the U.S. and Iran kept sentiment in global markets cautious and crude oil prices volatile. Markets continued to speculate on the impact of the recent doubling of bond buyback by the U.S. Treasury. Concerns about inflation, the fiscal deficit as well as corporate bond issuances lingered.

Wall Street Futures have gained around half a percent after suffering heavy losses on Thursday. Major benchmarks in Europe are trading on a mildly positive note. Earlier in the day, Asian markets had finished trading on a mixed note.

The six-currency Dollar Index has declined around a quarter percent. Ten-year sovereign bond yields mostly eased. Thirty-year U.S. bond yields are trading near 5.26 percent versus the high of 5.337 percent recorded on Tuesday.

Crude oil price benchmarks are directionless around the flatline. Gold has jumped close to 2 percent. Cryptocurrencies extended gains. Bitcoin has retreated after rising to a little less than $80 thousand.
