# Alibaba Group Announced Pricing of HK$80 Billion Placing of New Shares in Hong Kong

Alibaba Group Holding Limited, a leading global technology company listed on the NYSE as BABA and HKEX as 9988 (HKD Counter) and 89988 (RMB Counter), has revealed the details of its recent financial move in Hong Kong. The company has successfully priced a HK$80 billion placement consisting of 710,000,000 newly issued ordinary shares, specifically intended for non-U.S. investors outside of the United States. Each of these shares, known as Placement Shares, will be offered at a price of HK$112.70 per share during the Equity Placement. The closing of this transaction is set for August 26, 2026.
