# Report: NVIDIA discusses investing in AI startup Perplexity

According to media reports citing informed sources, NVIDIA is discussing participation in a round of equity financing for Perplexity, valuing the AI startup at over $30 billion.

The total amount of this financing will reach several billion dollars and will raise Perplexity's valuation by more than 50% compared to the previous round of financing a year ago.

NVIDIA has previously invested in Perplexity, which has raised over $1.7 billion from investors including NVIDIA, New Enterprise Associates, Accel, and SoftBank Group Corp
