The second Data Centre—Call for Application (DC-CFA2) exercise allocated 50 MW each to Digital Realty, Equinix, Keppel Data Centres, and ST Telemedia Global Data Centres.
The four operators have committed to exceed DC-CFA2’s minimum sustainability requirements, including powering more than 50% of their DC capacity with green energy and adopting technologies such as liquid cooling and 100% energy-efficient IT equipment.
IMDA said the proposals were selected through an open competitive process based on their ability to meet DC-CFA2’s strategic, economic, and sustainability objectives.
The selected projects will anchor advanced computing capabilities for technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and contribute to Singapore’s economy through investments in innovation, talent development, and research and development collaborations with Singapore-based partners.
The projects will also power at least 50% of their proposed capacity through green energy pathways, including biomethane, low-carbon ammonia, low-carbon hydrogen, and vertical building-integrated or building-applied photovoltaics.
The DCs will adopt liquid cooling and 100% energy-efficient IT equipment and meet Green Mark DC Platinum Certification.
JTC is developing a low-carbon data centre park on Jurong Island, where the supported facilities will be located, to tap low-carbon technology synergies across the island.
EDB and IMDA will continue to engage industry stakeholders and review the need for another Call for Application in 18 to 24 months.
Launched in December 2025, DC-CFA2 sought to strengthen Singapore’s position as a hub for AI and data centre investment, whilst supporting infrastructure resilience, economic development, and sustainable energy use.
