PLS Group Ltd. (PILBF,PLS.AX), an Australian lithium mining and exploration company, reported Monday a profit in fiscal 2026, compared to prior year's loss, reflecting strong operational performance, with higher sales volume and prices.

In Australia, the shares were gaining around 7.6%, trading at A$5.46.

In the full year, net profit was A$526 million, a significant turnaround from a A$196 million loss in the prior year.

Underlying EBITDA expanded to A$1.137 billion from A$97 million last year, driven by revenue growth and cost discipline. The underlying EBITDA margin improved to 59 percent from 13 percent a year ago, a 46 percentage point improvement.

Revenue climbed 152 percent to A$1.934 billion from A$769 million a year ago. The increase was driven by 17 percent sales volume growth and a 121 percent rise in average realized lithium prices to $1,488 per tonne compared with $672 per tonne a year ago.

Production increased 17 percent to 879.5 kt from 754.6 kt last year. Sales volume reached 891.6 kt compared with 760.1 kt in the prior year, also reflecting 17 percent growth.

Further, the PLS Board has determined a fully franked final dividend of 5 cents per share, representing approximately $161 million in total distributions to shareholders. The dividend is payable on September 24 to shareholders on the register at September 3.

Looking ahead, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Dale Henderson said, "We enter FY27 larger, lower cost and financially stronger than we were a year ago. We remain confident in the long-term opportunity for lithium, and our focus is on continuing to execute well, allocating capital with discipline and delivering value for our shareholders."
