# NVIDIA invests in data center power service providers, preparing for a multi-billion dollar deal with Perplexity

Jensen Huang's acquisition investment offensive continues

NVIDIA has acquired a minority stake in Cloverleaf Infrastructure. This is NVIDIA's third equity investment in a short period, with the target companies dedicated to securing land resources and power supply for data centers in the United States.

NVIDIA's move aims to lock in data center resources ahead of competitors, ensuring the deployment of its complete set of AI hardware and avoiding situations where data center facilities are not ready, leaving chips idle.

At the same time, NVIDIA is leading a round of multi-billion dollar financing for AI search transformation AI service provider Perplexity. This company has seen explosive revenue growth this year. This deal further confirms that NVIDIA is playing the role of the **"central bank" of the AI industry** — the entire AI industry is highly dependent on its provision of hardware computing power
