# WUXI APPTEC  Biology Business DEL Platform Experiences Cybersecurity Incident

WUXI APPTEC (02359.HK) -8.100 (-3.936%) Short selling $357.54M; Ratio 24.602% announced that its biology business segment recently experienced a cybersecurity incident, in which certain data on its DNA Encoded Library (DEL) platform was subject to unauthorized access. The DEL platform is a professional encoded chemical synthesis library used for early-stage discovery projects.

The company immediately activated its emergency response mechanism and engaged leading external cybersecurity experts and external legal advisers to contain the situation and investigate the incident. The security issue involving the DEL platform has been contained, and there is no evidence indicating that any other systems were affected.
