# Valuation Exceeds $16 Billion! "AI Ring" Maker Oura Could IPO as Early as September

Smart ring manufacturer Oura is seeking to complete an IPO of up to $3 billion in the U.S. market, with a valuation expected to exceed $16 billion, making it another highly anticipated tech target in the current IPO boom.

On Tuesday, Bloomberg cited sources stating that **Oura's listing could take place as early as September this year,** with existing investors expected to sell a significant portion of their shares in the offering. The company secretly filed for an IPO in May this year and has hired Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan Chase, Allen & Co., and Jefferies Financial Group as underwriters.

If the IPO proceeds smoothly, it will mark another leap in Oura's valuation. In September last year, the company completed an $875 million Series E financing round at a valuation of $11 billion; **the target valuation for this listing exceeds $16 billion, representing a substantial increase of over 45% compared to the financing valuation less than a year ago.** Sources cautioned that discussions are ongoing, and the IPO timeline and specific details are subject to change.

## Revenue Expected to Triple in Three Years, Growth Story Supports High Valuation

Behind Oura's high valuation expectations is a compelling growth trajectory. CEO Tom Hale previously disclosed that by September 2025, Oura is projected to have cumulatively sold 5.5 million smart rings, compared to just 2.5 million by June 2024, doubling sales in approximately 15 months.

**In terms of revenue, Oura expects 2026 revenue to reach $1.5 billion, triple the $500 million recorded in 2024.** This growth rate provides fundamental support for the company's pursuit of a premium valuation. Oura's smart rings sync with apps on iPhone and Android devices, tracking users' health, fitness, and sleep data, entering the wearable health monitoring sector with a form factor lighter than smartwatches.

## Apple and Samsung Enter the Fray, Intensifying Competition in the Smart Ring Sector

As Oura seeks to go public, the competitive landscape of the smart ring market is undergoing profound changes. Samsung launched its own smart ring product two years ago, while Apple is reportedly developing a series of wearable devices equipped with artificial intelligence features.

The entry of these two tech giants not only endorses the market potential of this category but also means Oura will face stronger competitive pressure in the future. Currently, smart rings remain a niche category within the overall wearable device market, where smartwatches hold the majority of the market share, but the adoption rate of this category is accelerating. Founded in 2013, Oura is headquartered in both San Francisco and Finland.

## Riding the IPO Window, Racing Alongside Anthropic and Nscale

Oura plans to list during the IPO window in the second half of this year, as several high-profile tech companies compete to complete their listings before the mid-term elections in November.

Artificial intelligence company Anthropic is expected to hit the market as early as next month, with a scale potentially matching or even surpassing SpaceX's record-breaking IPO; AI cloud computing company Nscale is also seeking to raise up to $3 billion in the U.S. as early as September; meanwhile, data center operator Switch has secretly filed for an IPO, with a potential valuation (including debt) approaching $50 billion.

In this dense listing window, whether Oura can gain market recognition through its differentiated positioning in the health tech sector and expectations of tripling revenue will be a core proposition closely examined by investors.
