# BNY Mellon's Tokenization Bet and Norwegian Cruise Line's Reality Check

Welcome to the leftover pile—the graveyard of misfits and the occasional hidden gem. Let’s start with the old guard trying to learn new tricks. BNY Mellon (BNY.US) actually pulled off a solid Q2 2026, boasting a 13% revenue bump and casually predicting a $3.6 trillion market for tokenized deposits. It’s classic Wall Street: when the old models plateau, pitch the digital future. At least they’re turning a profit while doing it.

Then there’s Norwegian Cruise Line (NCLH.US), which is navigating much choppier waters. Sure, Q2 revenue ticked up to $2.6 billion, but slashing their full-year 2026 earnings forecast and selling off the Sirena only to lease it back screams of a desperate need for liquidity. You can't endlessly hype a massive fleet modernization when your earnings outlook is sinking.

The rest of this grab bag is a mix of survival tactics and speculative bets. New Fortress Energy (NFE.US) just watched its CFO head for the exits in August after reporting a bleak Q2 loss. Not a great look, despite their UK restructuring. On the brighter side, Kura Oncology (KURA.US) beat the street's gloomy estimates thanks to early cancer drug sales, prompting the CEO to buy up shares. Meanwhile, FinVolution (FINV.US) is aggressively pivoting to Southeast Asia as its domestic revenue shrinks—a survival mechanism we are seeing all too often.

We also have the purely mechanical players: DPST (DPST.US) letting gamblers triple down on regional banks, and COHQ (COHQ.US) launching in August to explicitly short Coherent. TMC (TMCWW.US) is still waiting on NOAA to let them mine the ocean floor, and AtlasClear (ATCH.US) is bleeding cash trying to build a clearing platform. Finally, KYOCERA AVX (AVX.US) keeps quietly churning out capacitors. It’s a messy, disjointed group, but that’s the reality of the market—not everyone gets to be a tech darling; most are just trying to keep the lights on.
