# The Misfit Island of US Stocks: Who is Awake?

Welcome to the Island of Misfit Stocks. This unclassified grab-bag of US equities is essentially a Wall Street garage sale. We have everything here: luxury handbags, tax prep software, lithium batteries, and oral medications. Most of this is just market noise, but sitting here in 2026, a few of these companies are actually doing something interesting. This is a classic mixed bag, and here is my verdict on who is awake and who is completely sleepwalking.

Let's start with the cash-generating machines. Tapestry (TPR.US) just posted a record **USD 1.88B** in Q4 2026 sales, largely driven by Coach. Yet the market punished them with a massive sell-off this month over growth fears for the new fiscal year. Why aren't you moving faster to diversify the narrative? Meanwhile, H&R Block (HRB.US) is quietly printing money. They reported nearly **USD 3.95B** in FY2026 revenue and hiked their dividend by **10%** in August. Boring, but it undeniably works.

Then we have the infrastructure plays. EnerSys (ENS.US) is smartly riding the data center and defense wave, bagging a **USD 150M** DOE grant in July 2026 for its lithium battery plant in South Carolina. That is exactly how you play the industrial shift. On the other hand, Tecogen (TGEN.US) is trying to pitch its cooling systems to hyperscalers, but their Q2 2026 revenue just tanked by **21.2%**. Competing there without massive scale? Good luck with that.

We also have the wildcards and the pivoters. Entera Bio (ENTX.US) raised a massive **USD 275M** in July 2026 to push its oral osteoporosis drug into Phase 3 trials. That is a real clinical bet. Contrast that with Murano Global Investments (MRNO.US). A Mexican hotel developer deciding it needed to build a Bitcoin treasury in 2025 is a wild pivot. This is stupid and here is why: mixing highly cyclical real estate with crypto volatility is a massive headache waiting to happen.

Finally, the ghosts. Liberty Broadband (LBRDK.US) posted a hideous **USD 3.2B** net loss in late 2025 after spinning off GCI, and is just treading water now. As for Centennial Resource Development (CNTN.US), Wunong Net Technology (WNW.US), and WFF (WFF.US), they are practically invisible in this cycle with zero meaningful updates. If you are not making noise in the 2026 market, you basically do not exist.

My view? Stick to the companies with actual cash flow and clear infrastructure tailwinds like EnerSys. The rest of this garage sale can stay in the garage.
