# NVIDIA May Raise Its Already Staggering AI Growth Outlook

**NVIDIA Corp.** (NASDAQ:NVDA) stock rose more than 1% in Tuesday’s premarket session as risk appetite improved. Nasdaq futures gained 0.97%, while S&P 500 futures rose 0.49%.

Investors are positioning ahead of NVIDIA’s earnings report on Wednesday. Trading can become more volatile before a major earnings event as investors adjust their exposure.

Meanwhile, NVIDIA shares are near several widely watched moving averages. As a result, even modest buying could influence the stock’s short-term direction.

Beyond the headline results, Wall Street will focus on NVIDIA’s Rubin product cycle, gross margins and financial support for major AI projects.

## Rasgon Sees Rubin Driving Data Center Growth

**Bernstein** analyst Stacy Rasgon told CNBC on Saturday that he expects NVIDIA to report strong quarterly results. However, he will closely watch management’s comments on the Rubin ramp.

NVIDIA’s three-year outlook points to roughly $500 billion in data center revenue next year, Rasgon said. Still, Rubin build plans suggest revenue could exceed that level. Therefore, he wants to know whether management will raise its expectations.

## Margins And AI Financing Draw Attention

Rasgon will also watch whether NVIDIA can keep gross margins in the mid-70% range as memory and wafer prices rise. Management previously indicated that margins could remain near current levels.

In addition, he wants more details about NVIDIA’s financial support for major data center projects. Rasgon sees the company’s balance sheet as a strategic advantage.

Using excess cash to support customers could expand the AI ecosystem, he said. It could also strengthen long-term demand for NVIDIA’s products.

## Rubin Could Extend NVIDIA’s Stock Momentum

Rasgon cautioned that strong earnings may not produce an immediate stock gain. Other semiconductor companies have recently reported solid results without receiving a positive market reaction.

However, he believes NVIDIA remains essential to the global AI infrastructure buildout. The stock trailed several semiconductor peers for much of the past year but has recently started to outperform the group.

Rasgon sees the Rubin cycle as a potential catalyst for further gains. Historically, NVIDIA’s new product cycles have created favorable conditions for the stock.

That outlook makes the stock’s position near several key moving averages especially important. A strong earnings report and an upbeat Rubin update could help buyers push NVIDIA through nearby resistance.

## Technical Analysis

NVIDIA remains in a long-term uptrend. The stock trades about 8% above its 200-day simple moving average of roughly $195. Its 50-day average also remains above the 200-day average, which is a bullish signal.

Shares are holding above their 50-day and 100-day averages. However, the stock is about 1% below its 20-day SMA of $213.78. That suggests the recent move is a pullback within a broader uptrend rather than a confirmed breakout.

Short-term momentum has weakened. The moving average convergence divergence indicator is below its signal line, while its histogram is negative. That indicates the recent rally is losing momentum.

Resistance sits near $214, close to the stock’s short-term moving-average zone. A sustained move above that level could open a path toward the 52-week high of $236.54.

Support stands near $190, where buyers previously stepped in. A break below that level could signal a deeper pullback.

## Earnings And Analyst Outlook

NVIDIA is scheduled to report earnings Wednesday.

Analysts expect earnings of $2.09 per share, up from $1.04 a year earlier. Revenue is projected to reach $92.03 billion, compared with $46.74 billion last year.

The stock trades at 31.9 times earnings, reflecting a premium valuation.

NVIDIA carries a Buy consensus rating. Its average price forecast is $328.79.

**Raymond James** raised its price forecast to $352 from a previous level Tuesday and maintained a Strong Buy rating. **Rosenblatt** maintained a Buy rating and a $325 price forecast Monday. *KeyBanc* also maintained an Overweight rating and a $330 price forecast Monday.

## Benzinga Edge Rankings

NVIDIA has a Momentum score of 49.19, which places it near the middle of the market. Its Quality score of 97.72 and Growth score of 99.18 reflect strong business performance and growth expectations.

However, its Value score of 6.02 shows that the stock looks expensive based on traditional valuation measures.

Overall, the Benzinga Edge scorecard shows a high-quality growth company with a premium valuation. The stock’s next sustained move could depend on whether buyers reclaim resistance before earnings.

## Top ETF Exposure

**The Franklin Focused Dynamic Growth ETF** (NASDAQ:FFOG) has a 9.73% weighting in NVIDIA. **The First Trust Innovation Leaders ETF** (NYSE:ILDR) has a 9.79% weighting, while **the Xtrackers Net Zero Pathway Paris Aligned US Equity ETF** (NYSE:USNZ) has a 9.94% weighting.

Because NVIDIA has a large weighting in these funds, significant ETF inflows or outflows could trigger buying or selling of the stock.

## Price Action

NVIDIA shares rose 1.30% to $211.20 in Tuesday’s premarket trading, according to Benzinga Pro.
