# ASML: Buy Rating Reaffirmed as Analyst Sees Unwarranted Valuation Discount with Price Target Maintained at $2,452

Analyst Didier Scemama of Bank of America Securities reiterated a Buy rating on ASML Holding NV, retaining the price target of €2,452.00.

Didier Scemama has given his Buy rating due to a combination of factors, primarily the sizable and, in his view, unwarranted valuation discount at which ASML currently trades versus both its own historical multiples and global semiconductor equipment peers. He argues that this mismatch is hard to defend given ASML’s superior expected revenue and earnings growth, with his own projections running ahead of market consensus and supporting an unchanged price target of $2,452.

He also highlights that ASML is positioned to deliver best‑in‑class EPS growth, underpinned by meaningful gross margin expansion driven by a richer product mix, greater software content and pricing leverage on more advanced tools. In his assessment, structural concerns around lithography intensity, competition and export controls are either overstated or not unique to ASML, while rising EUV adoption and higher layer counts support sustained demand, making the current de‑rating an attractive entry point for investors.

In another report released on August 21, Barclays also maintained a Buy rating on the stock with a €2,400.00 price target.
