# McKesson Buy Rating Reiterated as Precision Medicine Acquisition Strengthens Oncology Platform; $1050 Price Target Unchanged

Bank of America Securities analyst Allen Lutz has maintained their bullish stance on MCK stock, giving a Buy rating on August 18.

Allen Lutz has given his Buy rating due to a combination of factors tied to McKesson’s strategic expansion. The acquisition of Precision Medicine Group adds clinical research, biomarker, and commercialization capabilities, allowing McKesson to engage biopharma clients earlier in the drug development cycle and deepen relationships with innovator customers.

This deal broadens the Oncology & Multispecialty segment and introduces new growth drivers beyond the company’s prior MSO-focused strategy, even as it adds some operational complexity. Lutz believes McKesson’s now more differentiated asset base and enhanced role in oncology and specialty biopharma services support continued growth, justifying the unchanged $1050 price target and the maintained Buy rating. 

In another report released on August 18, Barclays also maintained a Buy rating on the stock with a $1,000.00 price target.
