According to foreign media reports, the US and Iran have reached a consensus on the terms of a ceasefire agreement, including freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz and the resumption of negotiations between the two countries. Futures for the three major US stock indices were mixed. DJIA futures rose 67 points or 0.1%, while S&P 500 futures and Nasdaq futures slipped 0.04% and 0.15%, respectively. NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA.US) , which is set to release results after Wednesday's market close, rose 0.3% in premarket trading. Salesforce, Inc. (CRM.US) , which will also report results on the same day, fell 1.6% in premarket trading, while cybersecurity services provider CrowdStrike Holdings, Inc. (CRWD.US) was broadly stable and HP Inc. (HPQ.US) declined 0.8%. European stocks edged broadly higher in early trading. The pan-European STOXX 600 index rose 0.1% to 657.29. The UK's FTSE 100 index edged up 3 points to 10,889. France's CAC index gained 41 points or 0.5% to 8,481. Germany's DAX index added 13 points or less than 0.1% to 26,279. Italy's FTSE MIB rose 155 points or 0.3% to 52,875. Spain's IBEX 35 index climbed 68 points or 0.3% to 20,125. Major Asia-Pacific stock markets mostly advanced. China's three major A-share indices gained between 0.5% and 0.7% for the day. Hong Kong stocks closed at 25,652, up 141 points or 0.56%, with main board turnover at HKD254.824 billion. Taiwan stocks rose 663 points or 1.5% to 45,832. The Nikkei index closed up 405 points or 0.6% at 66,262. South Korean stocks closed up 65 points or nearly 1% at 6,808. Singapore stocks closed down 0.3%. Australia's ASX 200 index closed down 0.4%, while New Zealand's NZX 50 index rose 0.15%. Thailand's SET 50 closed up 0.6% after the Bank of Thailand's monetary policy committee unanimously decided to keep the benchmark interest rate unchanged at 1%, in line with expectations.
