Front Month Nymex Natural Gas for Sept. delivery gained 7.20 cents per million British thermal units, or 2.60% to $2.8420 per million British thermal units today

--Largest one day dollar and percentage gain since Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2026 

--Up five of the past seven sessions 

--Highest settlement value since Friday, July 24, 2026 

--Off 61.90% from its 52-week high of $7.46 hit Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026 

--Up 12.64% from its 52-week low of $2.523 hit Friday, April 24, 2026 

--Down 0.87% from 52 weeks ago 

--Off 61.90% from its 2026 settlement high of $7.46 hit Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026 

--Up 12.64% from its 2026 settlement low of $2.523 hit Friday, April 24, 2026 

--Off 81.52% from its record high of $15.378 hit Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005 

--Month-to-date it is up 3.46% 

--Year-to-date it is down 84.40 cents or 22.90%
