The RMB central parity against the USD was set at 6.7840, down 11 bps from the previous day. The PBOC today (27th) conducted RMB103 billion seven-day reverse repo operations, with no reverse repos maturing today, and also carried out RMB503.5 billion overnight reverse repo operations. The three major A-share indices opened mixed before all turning higher, gaining 0.6% to 1.5% by midday. The Shanghai Composite Index closed the morning session at 3,935, up 23 points or 0.6%, with turnover of RMB649.191 billion. The Shenzhen Component Index rose 164 points or 1.19% to 14,005, with turnover of RMB702.495 billion. The ChiNext Index climbed 51 points or 1.51% to 3,466, with turnover of RMB341.34 billion. Among mainland bank stocks, ICBC (601398.SH) -0.140 (-1.768%) and CCB (601939.SH) -0.200 (-1.874%) fell 1.8% and 1.9%, while CMB (600036.SH) -0.370 (-0.930%) dropped 0.9%. Among mainland insurers, CHINA LIFE (601628.SH) -0.420 (-1.089%) and CHINA PACIFIC INSURANCE (601601.SH) -0.350 (-1.094%) both slipped 1.1%. PING AN OF CHINA (601318.SH) -0.560 (-0.998%) declined 1%. In addition, BYD Company (002594.SZ) -0.800 (-0.869%) fell 0.9%, while CONTEMPORARY AMPEREX (300750.SZ) -7.480 (-1.974%) dropped nearly 2%. Among chip stocks, HUA HONG GRACE (688347.SH) +10.110 (+4.143%) reported a 409% rise in interim net profit and record-high revenue, with its share price gaining 4.1%. SMIC (688981.SH) +2.280 (+1.836%) rose 1.8%. AI chip stock CAMBRICON (688256.SH) +30.300 (+2.971%) advanced nearly 3%. Domestic GPU stocks METAX (688802.SH) +36.000 (+5.479%) and MOORE THREADS (688795.SH) +16.380 (+3.110%) gained 5.5% and 3.1%, respectively. LQKJ (688008.SH) +18.860 (+9.383%) surged 9.4%. Optical fibre stock YANGTZE OPTICAL FIBRE (601869.SH) +38.800 (+9.999%) hit limit up. Memory chip stock GIGADEVICE (603986.SH) +17.900 (+4.561%) rose 4.6%. SEMIGHT INSTRUMENTS (688808.SH) +106.000 (+4.692%) gained 4.7% after the company reported 1H net profit of RMB567 million, up 903% YoY. Meanwhile, CXMT (688825.SH) +2.950 (+5.258%) rose 5.3%. Among the three major optical module players known as "Yi Zhong Tian", ZHONGJI INNOLIGHT (300308.SZ) +26.110 (+3.069%) rose 3.1% after its H shares were included in the Stock Connect eligible securities list; TFC (300394.SZ) +18.860 (+7.437%) climbed 7.4%; and EOPTOLINK (300502.SZ) +13.220 (+3.315%) gained 3.3%. YUSHU TECHNOLOGY (688836.SH) +7.330 (+1.239%) rose 1.2%. WULIANGYE (000858.SZ) -0.720 (-1.001%) fell 1% on market rumors that distributors of its series liquor products had defaulted on payments and lost contact. International gold prices strengthened, with ZHAOJIN GOLD (000506.SZ) +2.020 (+9.995%) and HUNAN GOLD (002155.SZ) +2.460 (+10.016%) both hitting limit up.
