# Atlantic American (AAME) Stock Jumps 20% After-Hours: Here's Why

**Atlantic American Corporation** (NASDAQ:AAME) shares soared 20% to $1.56 after the bell on Wednesday.

## **Company Discloses Nasdaq Notice**

After the markets closed on Wednesday, Atlantic American announced that the company received a notice from Nasdaq last week, citing non-compliance with a listing rule that requires timely filing of periodic reports with the **Securities and Exchange Commission**.

The notice points to the company’s failure to file its quarterly report for the period ended Jun. 30. 

Atlantic American is also behind on its fiscal 2025 annual report for the year ended Dec. 31, 2025, as well as its first-quarter report for the period ended Mar. 31.

Nasdaq had earlier granted the company an extension until Oct. 12 to regain compliance, following submission of a compliance plan. Atlantic American must submit an updated plan specific to the quarterly report by Sept. 4.

The company said the notice carries no immediate impact on its listing or trading status on the Nasdaq Global Market.
