# Alphabet Is a 'Top 2027 Stock Pick,' Says Wolfe Research Analyst. Here's Why

Alphabet (GOOGL) stock is trending lower in Thursday's pre-market trading despite a bullish call from Wolfe Research analyst Shweta Khajuria. She reiterated an Outperform rating and a $460 price target, indicating 34.5% upside from current levels. Khajuria named Alphabet one of Wolfe's top stock picks for 2027, pointing to strength in its cloud business.

Khajuria is a 4.6-star analyst on TipRanks, ranking #866 out of the 12,294 analysts tracked. She has an average return per rating of 20.70%.

## **Why Is Wolfe Research Bullish on Alphabet?**

Google Cloud is a key reason for Wolfe's bullish view. Khajuria expects Google Cloud Platform revenue to grow 125% year over year in Q3. That is well above Wall Street's current 87% estimate.

Notably, Google Cloud delivered strong growth in Q2, with segment revenue jumping 82% year over year to $24.8 billion, above market expectations of $22.5 billion. Operating income also rose to $8.81 billion, pushing the cloud unit's operating margin to 35.6% as demand for enterprise AI services and TPUs boosted revenue.

Meanwhile, Khajuria said Wolfe sees "meaningful upside to consensus" in its 2027 estimates. She also said the firm does not think it is too early to make a 2027 pick.

Khajuria raised her 2027 estimates for Alphabet. She now expects $595 billion in revenue, up 10% from her earlier forecast. Her EPS estimate also increased 6% to $15.89.

## **Is GOOGL Stock a Buy?**

The stock of Alphabet has a consensus Strong Buy rating among 29 Wall Street analysts. That rating is based on 24 Buy and five Hold recommendations issued in the last three months. The average GOOGL price target of $422.22 implies 23% upside from current levels.
