# US Treasury Secretary Bessent Advances G20 Agenda on Debt and Iran Pressure

U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has organized this week’s G20 finance meeting to showcase President Donald Trump’s economic agenda and present it as a model for faster global growth. According to Sina Finance, the meeting puts Bessent in a delicate position as he seeks support for a new round of economic pressure on Iran while assuring counterparts that the United States can manage its large debt without threatening the global financial system. According to Sina Finance, a brief G7 finance meeting is also scheduled for Monday, with Ukraine and frontier artificial intelligence among the topics. JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon, Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon, and executives from manufacturing, healthcare, technology, and crypto companies are set to take part in the G20 talks. The executives attending include Albemarle CEO Kent Masters, 3M CEO Bill Brown, Eli Lilly CEO David Ricks, Truist incoming CEO Michael Lyons, Citi head of global digital assets Ryan Rugg, Ramp CEO Eric Glyman, and Circle President Heath Tarbert, who previously served as a commissioner at the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission and as a Treasury official in Trump’s first administration.
