# Cerebras has established a new 165 MW AI data center in Finland, intensifying its expansion of computing power in Europe

Zhitong Finance APP learned that Cerebras Systems (CBRS.US) announced on Tuesday the establishment of a new AI data center in Mikkeli, Finland, developed in collaboration with Compute Nordic Finland. The facility will be expanded in phases, ultimately reaching a contracted IT capacity of 165 MW to provide high-density AI computing, with the initial phase of 50 MW construction already underway.

The agreement was formally reached through a series of service orders, each with a contract term of seven years. Cerebras stated in a statement that the agreement provides Cerebras with long-term, purpose-built infrastructure to support the growing global demand for its AI computing platform, while also providing a long-term industrial pillar for the Mikkeli region, expected to bring substantial revenue and ongoing job opportunities.

Pyry Virrantaus, CEO of Compute Nordic Finland, stated: "The collaboration with Cerebras is not a speculative bet on future demand, but a contractually bound phased construction that accurately reflects the current market demand for AI computing and the direction of future development."
