# Analyst Reiterates Buy on Costco, Maintains $1100 Price Target Amid Confidence in Core Membership-Driven Growth

Analyst David Bellinger from Mizuho Securities maintained a Buy rating on Costco and keeping the price target at $1,100.00.

David Bellinger has given his Buy rating due to a combination of factors that underscore Costco’s resilient business model and long-term growth potential. While the company appears to be phasing out its Costco Next marketplace, he views this as a relatively minor component of overall operations, with limited impact on gross merchandise value and profitability.

Bellinger acknowledges there may be slight margin pressure as commission-based marketplace revenue winds down, but he sees Costco’s core membership-driven, high-volume model as more than offsetting this headwind. He maintains confidence in Costco’s ability to sustain healthy digital and overall sales growth, and therefore keeps his price target unchanged at $1100, reinforcing his positive outlook on the stock.

David Bellinger’s rating is based on his view that Costco’s strategic focus remains intact despite adjustments to ancillary initiatives like Costco Next. He notes that management has recently highlighted robust year-over-year volume gains, particularly in digital, supporting the thesis that the company can continue compounding revenue even as it fine-tunes its online offerings.

He also emphasizes that marketplace and advertising adjacencies, while incremental, are not essential to the strength of Costco’s underlying model. With the company set to report upcoming sales results and peers still expanding marketplace efforts, Bellinger believes Costco is well-positioned competitively and reiterates his Buy rating alongside the unchanged $1100 price target.

In another report released yesterday, Telsey Advisory also maintained a Buy rating on the stock with a $1,135.00 price target.
