# Nuburu Executes Reverse Stock Split Amid NYSE Compliance Effort

The latest update is out from Nuburu ( (BURU) ).

On September 1, 2026, Nuburu implemented a 1-for-40 reverse stock split of its common stock, reducing the number of issued and outstanding shares from about 370.5 million to roughly 9.3 million, while keeping par value and authorized share counts unchanged. The split, which applies uniformly to all shareholders and eliminates fractional shares, prompted a temporary change of the trading symbol to BURUD and assignment of a new CUSIP, with trading on a split-adjusted basis expected to begin on the OTC Market on September 2, 2026.

The action follows NYSE American’s suspension of Nuburu’s stock on July 17, 2026, after the price fell below the exchange’s $0.10 minimum and delisting proceedings were initiated, leading the stock to trade on the OTC Market since July 20, 2026. The reverse split is intended to help the company regain compliance with NYSE American’s minimum price rule ahead of a September 10, 2026 appeal hearing, though management warns there is no assurance of a sustained price increase or successful relisting, and continued OTC trading could pressure liquidity, valuation, investor interest, and future financing options.
