# Wall Street's Junk Drawer: Leverage, Blank Checks, and Niche AI Bets

Wall Street's junk drawer is overflowing again. From 2x leveraged bets on glassmakers and cannabis to obscure blank-check companies, it's a pure carnival of speculation. This is stupid and here's why: when you need daily double leverage on a single niche tech stock, you aren't investing—you're pulling a slot machine lever in Vegas.

Let's start with Rising Dragon Acquisition Corp (RDAC.US). A blank-check firm out of the Cayman Islands that recently inked a deal to acquire some entity called Quadsoc for a **USD 350M** valuation. Good luck with that. Pushing the SPAC playbook in late 2026 feels exactly like trying to sell DVDs in the streaming era.

At least Game Your Game (GYGY.US) has a tangible product. They track golf performance using AI and recently secured an order for 500 GameGolf KZN units in August 2026. Sports tech fused with artificial intelligence is cute, but in a brutal consumer hardware market, why aren't you moving faster to scale?

Then we have the frankly absurd brigade of 2x leveraged daily wrappers. Asset managers are throwing Leverage Shares 2X Long GLW Daily ETF (GLWG.US), Leverage Shares 2X Long AXTI Daily (AXTL.US), and the semiconductor-focused Leverage Shares 2X Long AEHR Daily (AEHG.US) at retail traders. They even cooked up the Tradr 2X Long CRML Daily ETF (CRMX.US) for a critical metals miner. Wrapping highly volatile tech or mining stocks in daily leverage is basically asking for retail money to get incinerated.

Speaking of incineration, AdvisorShares MSOS 2x Daily ETF (MSOX.US) is a hot mess. Pot reform has been the same tired narrative for years. Recently, the fund was forced to restate its NAV in March 2026 due to accounting errors on its total return swaps, all while dealing with reverse splits. An over-leveraged cannabis fund that can't even get its accounting right?

The only semi-normal instruments here are the macro proxies. The Franklin FTSE South Korea ETF (FLKR.US) is heavily exposed to the volatile semiconductor cycle, and recent analysis shows its emerging market discount has completely vanished. Meanwhile, the Vanguard Extended Duration Treasury ETF (EDV.US), sitting on a massive **USD 3.9B** in zero-coupon bonds, remains a pure, unfiltered pulse check on long-term macroeconomic policy.

The truth, as usual, is obvious. Unless you are playing macro bond durations, stop funding Wall Street's leveraged lab experiments.
