# Data Center Sector Rises in After-Hours Trading; IREN Surges Nearly 8%, HUT Gains Over 4%, ORCL Up Over 3%

The data center sector posted broad gains in after-hours trading on September 2, with most mainstream names closing higher. IREN stood out as the top performer, surging nearly 8% to **$39.60**, followed by HUT which gained over 4% to **$80.68**, and ORCL advancing over 3% to **$145.75**. NBIS rose 2.28% to $204.09, while CRWV edged down 1.12% to $80.93.

Among derivative names, NEBX climbed 4.58% to $21.25 and ORCX jumped 6.44% to $21.31. Trading volumes were notably heavy. IREN saw 40.52 million shares change hands with turnover reaching $1.55 billion. ORCL recorded 21.88 million shares traded for $3.17 billion in turnover, while HUT saw 3.71 million shares trade with $294 million in turnover.

The sector's active trading suggests investors are increasing allocations to data center infrastructure and related services. IREN's strength reflects growing demand for data center infrastructure driven by cryptocurrency mining operations. HUT, also exposed to crypto mining, moved in tandem. ORCL represents the traditional data center cloud services segment.
