# XIAOMI-W Participates in Xiaomi Dragon Armor Battery's Cell Design and Development

XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) +1.000 (+3.644%) Short selling $983.72M; Ratio 19.386% announced a strategic partnership for the Xiaomi Dragon Armor Battery. Xiaomi Auto Vice President Li Xiaoshuang said Xiaomi participated in the cell design and development of the Xiaomi Dragon Armor Battery, gaining deep involvement in underlying cell technologies to ensure cycle life and safety margins. The company jointly developed electrochemical systems, cell design and manufacturing processes with suppliers.

Li highlighted that the cycle life of Xiaomi Dragon Armor Battery cells was way more than national standards. The company carefully selected cathode and anode materials, electrolytes and separators, while optimizing core cell design and processes to achieve lower long-term degradation and improved safety performance.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi Dragon Armor Battery also exceled national requirements across multiple safety standards. In terms of safety standards, Xiaomi Dragon Armor Battery adopts the industry's highest functional safety grade standard design, ASIL-D, and uses Xiaomi's self-developed BMS battery management software. Combined with multi-level battery protection hardware and software strategies, the system can achieve millisecond-level safety fault response capabilities.
