# Storage chip stocks surge, SanDisk up 11%, Seagate up 6%

Storage chip stocks rallied strongly during Friday's (September 4) regular trading session, with HDD and NAND leaders advancing across the board. SanDisk (SNDK.US) surged **10.84%** to $1,723.59, leading the sector with an intraday high of $1,736.50, up 11.67%. Seagate (STX.US) climbed **6.11%** to $847.43, reaching a session high of $852.98. Western Digital (WDC.US) gained **5.43%** to $465.54, while Micron Technology (MU.US) rose **5.30%** to $1,008.90. Everspin (MRAM.US) added 2.08% to $16.18. The 2x leveraged ETF (SNXX.US) jumped over 21%, amplifying the sector's gains, while the inverse ETF (SNDQ.US) dropped more than 22%.

The storage chip sector extended its recent strength as AI computing demand continues to drive expectations for HDD and NAND growth, with major storage manufacturers hitting fresh highs. Leveraged ETF SNXX surged over 21% intraday while inverse ETF SNDQ fell more than 22%, reflecting sustained investor optimism for the sector's outlook.
