# Storage Chips Broadly Rise in Regular Session, SNDK Up Nearly 12%, MU Up Over 6%

During the regular session on Sep 5, the storage chip sector rallied broadly with mainstream names all posting gains. Micron Technology (MU.US) closed at **$1016.59**, up over **6%**; SanDisk (SNDK.US) showed the strongest performance, up nearly **12%** to **$1740.00**; Western Digital (WDC.US) up nearly **6%** to **$467.46**; Seagate Technology (STX.US) up over **6%** to **$849.28**; Everspin Technologies (MRAM.US) up over **3%** to **$16.37**.

Trading activity was active in the sector. Micron Technology saw volume of **35.25 million shares** with turnover of **$35.22 billion**; SanDisk volume **16.56 million shares**, turnover **$27.91 billion**; Western Digital volume **5.81 million shares**, turnover **$2.69 billion**. Seagate Technology volume **2.56 million shares**, turnover **$2.15 billion**.

On the derivative front, MUU.US gained **11.60%** to **$34.25**, SNXX.US surged **23.38%** to **$17.36**; while MUD.US fell **5.95%** to **$9.80**, SNDQ.US dropped **23.80%** to **$11.78**, indicating notable divergence within the sector.
