Another advantage of the process is that it slashes reagent costs by 60 percent. Tesla also profits from selling the anhydrite by-product as raw material for the construction industry. Tesla already uses 4680 cells made in-house in the Cybertrucks. However, the latest update means the manufacturing process is now more vertically stacked.
