# BNB Chain Executive Says Lower Gas Fees Are No Longer Blockchain's Top Priority

BNB Chain Growth Director Nina Rong said lowering gas fees is no longer the blockchain industry’s top priority. According to Odaily, she said the sector should focus on building sustainable business models, including gas fees, revenue sharing, and other commercial arrangements. Rong said blockchain foundations have mainly been known for grants, investments, and reducing gas fees over the past five years. She added that a stable business structure is needed for blockchain companies to keep developing over the next five years. Her comments came after Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko and Arbitrum co-founder Steven Goldfeder debated Robinhood Chain’s fee structure. Yakovenko said Robinhood Chain could use the 10% revenue share paid to Arbitrum to subsidize user transactions and make them gas-free if it joined Solana. Goldfeder replied that if Robinhood chose Solana, it would not earn any revenue from gas fees.
