# The Great AI Power Grab and the Rest of the Market's Mess

I've said it before and I'll say it again: when Silicon Valley catches a fever for a new tech narrative, the broader market loses its collective mind. Right now, it's all about the AI infrastructure power grab. Everyone from nuclear startups to struggling crypto miners is slapping "high-performance computing" onto their pitch decks. But when you look under the hood, the reality is far more chaotic.

Take the crypto guys trying to pivot. **Marathon Digital (MARA.US)** just posted a staggering quarterly net loss that completely missed Wall Street's already dismal expectations. They want us to believe they can seamlessly transition from mining Bitcoin to building massive 2.5-gigawatt AI data centers. The stock caught a recent bounce thanks to a broader crypto recovery, but let's be real—this execution risk is massive. Good luck with that.

On the flip side, **Bitdeer (BTDR.US)** actually seems to be pulling off the pivot. They just dropped nine figures in cash on Texas real estate to expand their AI footprint and have completely sold out their Malaysian data center capacity, locking in over USD 800 million in projected revenue. Meanwhile, the actual power generation side is getting wild. **Oklo (OKLO.US)** just got its Groves nuclear reactor to achieve first criticality. With a massive 1.2-gigawatt power deal with Meta in the bag, the market is completely eating up their nuclear-meets-AI narrative.

But as always, the ones truly cashing in are the folks selling the picks and shovels. **Lam Research (LRCX.US)** just delivered record quarterly revenue for fiscal 2026 and boldly hiked its dividend by 27%. As long as the tech giants are locked in a spending war over advanced packaging and high-bandwidth memory, Lam will just keep printing money.

None of this AI fantasy works without the physical grid, which brings us to **Xcel Energy (XE.US)**. They are out there breaking ground on a massive transmission project in Minnesota to support 4 gigawatts of new renewable capacity. They continue to beat earnings expectations because, at the end of the day, those GPUs need electricity.

Outside the AI bubble, the legacy players are having a rough time. **Boston Scientific (BSX.US)**, a massive medical device company, recently had its global shipping operations completely paralyzed by a cyberattack, forcing them to cut their full-year earnings guidance. Their stock took a well-deserved hit. Conversely, **Axon Enterprise (AXON.US)** is successfully selling its ecosystem to cops. Their Q2 revenue surged 35%, their stock is up significantly, and executives are cashing out millions. They know exactly what they are doing.

As for **Altria (MO.US)**? They just got the FDA to greenlight their new "On!" nicotine pouches and bumped up their dividend, quietly churning out cash from their legacy sin business. Finally, in a market this loud, the absolute silence from under-the-radar names like **Keele Group (KEEL.US)** and **Immuron (IMRN.US)** is deafening. They haven't made a single blip on the financial radar lately. Sometimes, having no narrative at all is the harshest market verdict.
