Shares of **Novartis AG** (NYSE:NVS) fell sharply in pre-market trading after the company disclosed that the pelacarsen phase III Lp(a) HORIZON trial did not meet its primary endpoint. Novartis shares tumbled 12.7% to $139.56 in pre-market trading.
