# BUZZ-Energy companies gain as Brent crude rises above $100/barrel mark

U.S.-listed shares of energy companies gain premarket, tracking a rise in oil prices (O/R)

Brent crude futures (LCOc1) up ~3% at $100.76/barrel; U.S. West Texas Intermediate (CLc1) rises 2.43% to $95.29/barrel

Prices breached the $100-per-barrel mark, hitting a six-week high on Wednesday as intensifying conflict in the Middle East heightened concerns about oil flows

Energy majors Exxon (XOM.N) and Chevron (CVX.N) each up 0.74%

Oil and gas producers Occidental Petroleum (OXY.N) up 1.2%, Diamondback Energy (FANG.O) gains 2.4%, Devon Energy (DVN.N) rises 1.1%

Oilfield services company Baker Hughes (BKR.O) gains 1.1%

Refiners PBF Energy (PBF.N) and Valero Energy (VLO.N) up 1.4% and ~1% respectively
