# Boeing Jet Deliveries Slip Again in August

**Boeing Company** (NYSE:BA) said Tuesday that it delivered 51 commercial jets in August 2026, down from 53 in July and 57 a year earlier.

## Boeing Delivers 51 Jets In August

The August total marked a modest sequential decline in deliveries for the U.S. planemaker. Deliveries also fell by six aircraft from August 2025.

Boeing also booked 15 gross orders during the month and recorded no cancellations. Through August, Boeing had booked 453 net orders after accounting for cancellations and other adjustments.

Boeing ended August with 6,755 unfilled commercial aircraft orders, highlighting the size of its production backlog.

The company’s monthly orders and deliveries remain closely watched as Boeing works to increase aircraft production and convert its large backlog into deliveries and cash flow.

## Stock Performance And Technical Analysis

Boeing stock edged higher Wednesday, bucking a weaker broader market as traders tested a modest rebound. The Nasdaq slipped 0.06%, while the S&P 500 fell 0.29%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 0.75%, and the Russell 2000 declined 0.55%.

However, the broader technical trend remains weak. Traders may look for a move above nearby resistance levels before viewing Wednesday’s gain as more than a short-term bounce.

At $211.51, Boeing shares remain below all four major simple moving averages.

The stock trades about 2.1% below its 20-day SMA, 3.7% below its 50-day SMA, 4.7% below its 100-day SMA and 4.2% below its 200-day SMA.

The 20-day SMA also sits below the 50-day SMA. In addition, the 50-day SMA recently fell below the 200-day SMA, forming a bearish “death cross.”

Momentum also remains weak. The MACD is below its signal line, while the histogram is negative. That suggests buying momentum has faded.

Key resistance sits near $241, a previous pivot area. Support is around $205.50. A break below that level could put the current rebound under pressure.

## Analyst Outlook

Analysts have a consensus Buy rating on Boeing, with an average price forecast of $273.13.

**Argus Research** upgraded Boeing to Buy with a $265 price forecast on Aug. 11. **Tigress Financial** maintained a Buy rating and raised its forecast to $305 on Aug. 6. **BNP Paribas** upgraded the stock to Outperform and lifted its forecast to $300 on Aug. 3.

## Benzinga Edge Rankings

Boeing has a Momentum score of 21.82 and a Value score of 26.63, according to the Benzinga Edge scorecard.

The weak momentum score fits the current technical setup, with Boeing trading below its major moving averages. Meanwhile, the low value score suggests the stock screens as relatively expensive.

For bulls, a sustained recovery above the major moving averages, along with improving momentum, could provide a stronger technical signal.

## Top ETF Exposure

Boeing has a 9.50% weighting in the **iShares U.S. Aerospace & Defense ETF** (BATS:ITA), a 7.15% weighting in the **Invesco Aerospace & Defense ETF** (NYSE:PPA) and a 4.21% weighting in the **Corgi Aerospace & Commercial Aviation ETF** (NASDAQ:AV).

Its sizable weighting means flows into or out of these funds can also affect demand for Boeing shares.

## BA Price Action

**BA Price Action:** Boeing shares were up 0.37% at $211.51 at the time of publication Wednesday, according to Benzinga Pro.
