# US FAA head meets with airline CEOS on plan to cut flight delays

WASHINGTON, Sept 10 (Reuters) - The head of the Federal Aviation Administration met Thursday with the CEOs of major U.S. passenger airlines on the agency’s plan to use advanced software to overhaul flight scheduling to improve flight management.

FAA Administrator Bryan Bedford met with top executives from American Airlines (AAL.O) , United Airlines (UAL.O) , Delta Air Lines (DAL.N) , Southwest Airlines (LUV.N) and others on the agency’s plan to begin rolling out the system known as SMART latest this month.
