# Tesla Stock (TSLA): Top Morgan Stanley Analyst Sees Strong Upside in Autonomous Trucking Plans

Morgan Stanley analyst Andrew Percoco kept a Hold on Tesla (TSLA) stock and a $400 price target. The five-star analyst said the long‑term case for Tesla's autonomous trucking business remains strong. Percoco pointed to new work from the bank's freight team, which sees autonomous trucking as a major shift for the industry. After nearly ten years of tech development, the focus is now moving toward commercial rollout over the next 12-18 months. The team's updated numbers show a huge market, with a U.S. total addressable market of $0.5 trillion to $1.1 trillion by 2041.

The analyst said the economics also look strong. Autonomous trucks could cut net costs by about 20%, mainly from lower labor, fuel, and insurance costs. That means an autonomous fleet could earn 6-8 times more profit than today's human‑driven fleets.

It is worth noting that Percoco ranks 187th out of more than 12,500 analysts tracked by TipRanks. He has an overall success rate of 61%, with an average return per rating of 56.8% over a one-year timeframe.
