# STOCKS | Cybersecurity Shares Jump After Anthropic and OpenAI CEOs Warn on AI Risks

Cybersecurity stocks rose in premarket trading as concerns over AI safety intensified. According to Sina Finance, Okta gained 5%, CrowdStrike rose 4.5%, and Palo Alto Networks also closed up 4.5%. The gains came after Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman issued warnings over the past two days. Amodei wrote in a Saturday blog post that AI capability progress should be slowed, while Altman posted a pessimistic message on X at 12:57 a.m. U.S. Eastern Time on Monday. Altman said there are two catastrophic paths to avoid: losing control of the future to AI, and extreme concentration of power. CrowdStrike founder and CEO George Kurtz said earlier this year that some AI agents pose risks similar to giving full access to a drunk intern, and he said companies should use AI to fight AI.
