# American Battery Technology FY26 Loss Widens From Higher Expenses; Shares Down

On Monday, American Battery Technology Co. (ABAT) reported a wider loss for the fiscal year 2026 than the previous year, due to higher operating expenses. 

On the Nasdaq, the shares were trading 4.84 percent lower at $2.3500.

Net loss attributable to common stockholders widened to $73.38 million or $0.68 per share from $46.76 million or $0.56 per share in the previous year. 

Adjusted profit for the period was $1.7 million, compared to the loss of $6.2 million in the prior year.

Total operating expenses went up to $71.62 million from $31.45 million last year.

Revenue for 2026 went up to $21.74 million from $4.29 million a year ago.
