Its preferred shares recently caught analyst upgrades due to improving valuations, underpinning a payout profile that relies on repo-agreement leverage.

On the opposite end of the growth spectrum, Axon Enterprise (AXON.US) is capitalizing on the integration of artificial intelligence into public safety infrastructure. The company posted second-quarter 2026 revenue of USD 904 million, a 35% year-over-year jump that marks its tenth consecutive quarter of top-line expansion exceeding 30%. Software and services revenue drove the beat, pushing annualized recurring revenue up 39% to USD 1.6 billion alongside a net retention rate of 126%. Despite recent insider stock sales from CEO Patrick Smith and a double-digit share pullback over the past month, Axon raised its full-year 2026 revenue guidance to a range of 32% to 34%, citing the deployment of new AI products like 'Draft One,' which automates police report writing via body camera audio.
