# AstraZeneca, Leidos, Expeditors International And More On CNBC’s ‘Final Trades’

On CNBC’s “Halftime Report Final Trades,” **Jim Lebenthal**, partner and chief market strategist at Cerity Partners, picked **AstraZeneca PLC** (NYSE:AZN),

Last week, Cambridge, U.K.-based AstraZeneca secured regulatory approval for a new breast cancer treatment while reporting strong Phase 3 trial data for its lung cancer and respiratory therapies.

In August, the Financial Times reported that **Bristol Myers Squibb** (NYSE:BMY) and AstraZeneca were considering a nearly $400 million merger.

**Stephen Weiss**, chief investment officer and managing partner of Short Hills Capital Partners, named **Leidos Holdings, Inc.** (NYSE:LDOS) as his final trade.

Supporting his choice, Leidos reported better-than-expected second-quarter financial results on Aug. 4 and raised its FY26 guidance. Leidos reported quarterly earnings of $3.26 per share, which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $2.91 per share. The company reported quarterly sales of $4.558 billion, which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $4.437 billion.

**Liz Thomas**, SoFi head of investment strategy, recommended **US 10-year Treasury**.

**Joseph M. Terranova**, senior managing director for Virtus Investment Partners, picked **Expeditors International of Washington, Inc.** (NYSE:EXPD).

On the earnings front, Expeditors Intl, on Aug. 4, posted better-than-expected second-quarter earnings. The company reported quarterly earnings of $2.03 per share, beating the analyst consensus estimate of $1.67 per share. The company reported quarterly sales of $3.502 billion, which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $2.888 billion.

-   AstraZeneca shares gained 2.3% to close at $163.78 on Monday.
-   Leidos shares gained 3.1% to close at $132.83.
-   Expeditors International shares rose 0.5% to close at $193.61 on Monday.
